Intellectual Property Rights


Vibrationdata shall adhere to the following Intellectual Rights Policy.

Purpose. This Intellectual Property Rights Policy outlines the principles governing the ownership, use, and protection of intellectual property, including software, lecture material, and other class materials created by instructors at Vibrationdata. 

Scope. This policy applies to all individuals, including faculty, instructors, and third party entities, who create or contribute to intellectual property within the scope of their engagement with Vibrationdata. Intellectual property includes, but is not limited to course materials, lesson plans, instructional content, assessments, multimedia resources, and other creative works. 

Responsibilities. Intellectual property created by individuals within Vibrationdata is generally owned by Vibrationdata. Ownership rights may be subjected to specific agreements or contractual arrangements. 

Use of Institution Resources. When instructors use institutional resources, such as facilities, equipment, or funding, to create intellectual property, there may be shared rights. Any such arrangements will be specified in a separate agreement between the instructor and Vibrationdata.

Attribution. Vibrationdata acknowledges the importance of recognizing the contributions of instructors to the creation of intellectual property. Instructors will be appropriately credited for their work in any use or distribution of their materials.

Instructor's Right to Modify. Instructors have the right to modify and update their intellectual property as needed for educational purposes.

Institution's Right to Modify. Vibrationdata reserves the right to make modifications to intellectual property for administrative or educational purposes, with reasonable notice to the instructor and due consideration of the instructor's intent and original work.

Intellectual Property Protection. Vibrationdata is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of its instructors. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

Enforcement. Vibrationdata will take appropriate measures to enforce intellectual property rights and address any infringement. Instructors are encouraged to report any unauthorized use of their intellectual property promptly.

Consequences of Non-Compliance. Individuals found to be non-compliant with the Intellectual Property Rights Policy may face restrictions on their participation in educational programs offered by Vibrationdata. Restrictions may include suspension from program-related activities or exclusion from future engagements.
